A full house celebrates the UN’s International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women

An altar to the fallen

A full house showed up Saturday night, Nov. 26, to celebrate the UN’s annual International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women with music, dance, art, poetry, healing and more at Dance Mission Theater in San Francisco. Well wishers arrived from as far away as Petaluma and NYC.

A dramatic press conference/art installation held Friday, Nov. 25, at Mission Cultural Center, drew journalists from Univision’s Channel 14 News, KPFA radio, KPOO radio, The Epoch Times, The World Journal, Mission Local and more.
